From the time I was little, no matter what the theme, I’ve had extremely visceral dreams. I don’t think I’m a bad tosser/turner, but I often feel more aware of my physical self in my sleep than when awake. Everything is tangible and super-real, to the point that I often get that queasy roll of butterflies in my stomach upon waking- as if I’m on a roller coaster that has stopped short.

I have a lot of 1940’s Hollywood dreams. Wearing suits and drinking and fighting and fucking with no consequence. I like those. Absurdly optimistic revisions of my personal histories have been occurring with greater frequency of late, which is a welcome change of pace from the stream of horribly violent car crash dreams I was having in the fall. Those rattled me in a bad way.

Less pleasant, I have an inordinate amount of dreams where I’m accused of something I haven’t done. Not nightmares persay, just hopelessly unpleasant situations where I’m forced to prove my innocence to those who are already convinced of my guilt regarding theft, lying or cheating.

It’s been too long since a good awards speech, too. The standard rich and famous contract for Kermit the Frog and company.

Shyness is nice. And shyness can stop you from doing all the things in life you'd like to. So, if there's something you'd like to try- if there's something you'd like to try, ask me. I wont say no; how could I?

That’s a lyric from The Game’s “Hate It Or Love It”, which I’d never really thought about until this very moment-

Compton is in California. “Marcy” (referring to the Marcy Projects) is in Brooklyn.

I know it’s more likely The Game is just a lazy lyricist, but there’s a very real chance that he’s bragging about having clout enough to not only have you killed, but to have the body transported 2454 miles across the country after doing so.
