EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK AT THE SHOOTING SCRIPT FOR “SNAP”

“Fresh off the Sundance premiere of their hip-hop film Filly Brown, Cima Productions has set a March 26 start date for Snap, a psychological thriller set in the world of underground dubstep. Jake Hoffman (Barney’s Version) will play a brilliant but painfully introverted musician who develops a crush on a young social worker. Twilight Saga‘s Nikki Reed will play that role. While she is initially drawn in by Jim’s musical genius, his inner demons spiral out of control when the romance fizzles, with shocking and tragic results.” - Deadline, 1/23/12

JIM (OR JAKE, WHATEVER) looks up from his MacBook Pro and sees SOCIAL WORKER BABE, who has no name but does have breasts.

JIM (OR JAKE, WHATEVER): It is hard for me here, here in the world of underground dubstep. It is hard to make beats.

SOCIAL WORKER BABE: You are a musical genius.

JIM (OR JAKE, WHATEVER): Were but I not so painfully introverted. Maybe it is because my father/mother/dead older brother who was a DJ never believed in me. Or maybe it is because I am insane.

SOCIAL WORKER BABE: Don’t talk like that. Beats are the most important thing in the world, and you are good at them/it.

JIM (OR JAKE, WHATEVER): I am going to have a drug problem now.

SOCIAL WORKER BABE: You are hurting me so. Your thumpy cyberfart music is so beautiful and important, but you are so troubled. I cannot reconcile this.

JIM (OR JAKE, WHATEVER): Maybe a person has to see the bad things in the world so they can also see the good things.

SOCIAL WORKER BABE: You are psychologically thrilling me.

JIM (OR JAKE, WHATEVER): Watch out. I think my inner demons are spiraling out of control.

SOCIAL WORKER BABE: Kiss me, Jimbo.

(They kiss.)

JIM (OR JAKE, WHATEVER): You are my social worker.
