I kinda wish Tumblr had instituted some sort of profile system before/instead of the Formspring usurp play.

Excerpt from Patrick Marber's Closer; 1997.

  • DAN:
I owe you an apology. I fell in love with her. My intention was not to make you suffer.
  • LARRY:
So where's the apology? You cunt.
  • DAN:
I apologize. If you love her, you'll let her go, so she can be happy.
  • LARRY:
She doesn't want to be happy.
  • DAN:
    Everybody wants to be happy.
  • LARRY:
Depressives don't. They want to be unhappy to confirm their depression. If they were happy, they couldn't be depressed anymore. They'd have to go out into the world and live- which can be depressing.

Well I’ll let it slide this time, Hulu. BUT DON’T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN.

Matt Berry - “Snuff Box Main Theme” (2004)

Watched this entire Snuff Box series last night; have had this stuck in my head since. Spectacular show.

"I'm from Compton, where the wrong colors be cautious; One phone call, have your body dumped in Marcy"

That’s a lyric from The Game’s “Hate It Or Love It”, which I’d never really thought about until this very moment-

Compton is in California. “Marcy” (referring to the Marcy Projects) is in Brooklyn.

I know it’s more likely The Game is just a lazy lyricist, but there’s a very real chance that he’s bragging about having clout enough to not only have you killed, but to have the body transported 2454 miles across the country after doing so.
